On the Run Vagabonds #1 by Jade C. Jamison

 On the Run

(Vagabonds #1)

By Jade C. Jamison

What if your dream became a nightmare?

Kyle Summers enjoys a carefree childhood traveling the

countryside with her parents…until she discovers the electric guitar. When she

first wraps her hand around its neck, she knows she was born to play it.

When she discovers boys, she realizes she has a second

passion.

But music always comes first, and when Kyle is

recruited to be part of a young all-girl band, she jumps at her chance for fame

and fortune. It isn’t long before Kyle discovers that all that glitters isn’t

gold. Will she survive when she discovers the dark and seedy side of the music

industry—or will it ruin her for good?

Vagabonds follows one young woman’s rise to fame past

the pitfalls of sex, drugs, and easy money, through fortune and success to

heartbreak and betrayal. Five girls build their band The Vagabonds from nothing

but a hunger to create and quickly find that they are nothing but pawns in a

larger game played by managers, agents, the press, the music industry, and all

manner of unscrupulous, greedy people who want to feed on their triumphs.

Friendships and lives hang in the balance. Who will survive?

Wow...and

YES!!! If the Nicki Sosebee series and the Bullet boys had a baby, I think this

would be the result. I have always been a huge fan of Jamison's work, whether

she wrote about a naughty, sexy reporter and her bedroom antics or about a hot

young rock band with a lot of angst and serious problems.

On the

Run is the start of another really cool series, but this time about a young

girl who always had a bigger love and passion for her music than anything

else...and would do almost anything to make it her life's work. ….

I really

loved this first book (even though I found it a bit tamer than Jamison's usual

fare) and I know she will definitely amp things up a notch as Kyle gets older

and dives into what either could be the thing that lets her achieve her wildest

dreams or breaks her spirit in the end.

Awesome

family drama with a lot of rocking heart and soul. ~ Susan B.

Cant wait

for more!!!

AHHHH

This book is amazing. Ok yeah I know you won’t just one-click it based off that

statement but trust me it’s a great read. One of the things I love about this

books is the angst and the Young Adult feel of it…trust me it’s not a YA novel

but the books starts with the girls in high school…  ~Twinsie Talk Book Reviews

I have

been on the edge of my seat waiting for On the Run (Vagabonds, #1) since Jade

C. Jamison announced she was starting to write it. No one writes rock-n-roll and

romance like Jade. ~ Amy

A Hot New

Band Vagabonds.

What can

I say Jade knows how do write about Rockstars. …

This book

is going to be one hell of a ride from teenage dreams to reality but it's a

ride your going to want to take to see where Vagabonds ends up. ….

This is

book one of three but when I was done reading this all I said is bring on book

Ms

Jamison has a knack for writing rock stars and strong women.  Put the two together and it is always going

to be a cracker of a book.  She does not

gloss over the bad parts of the life.  We

get their story, warts and all.   She

draws you right into their world and it is like you are living the journey with

the characters.

I

thoroughly enjoyed getting into teen-Kyle's head, and can't wait for more of

the Vagabonds story. ~BJ’s Book Blog

About the author:

For years, Jade C. Jamison

tried really hard to write what she thought was more "literary"

fiction, but she found herself compelled to write what you read by her

today--sometimes gritty, raw, realistic stories and other times humorous, light

tales--but most of the stories she writes revolve around relationships and

characters finding their way through life. While she doesn't confine herself to

just one genre, nor is there a nice neat label for what she writes, most of her

work could be called erotic romance. Her main writing passions include rock

star romance, romantic comedy, and romantic suspense.

She lives in Colorado with

her husband and four children.
