In the small town of Bailey, country music, motorcycles, and reckless teenagers are the norm. Fallon Davis and Wesley Jones are no exception. That is, until Wesley disappears from Fallon's life when she needs him the most.

After losing everything important in her life, Fallon replaces her love for Wesley with hatred. Fifteen years later, Fallon has quit waiting on Wesley. She is ready to focus on her life, career, and friends at Backwoods until the unthinkable happens. Wesley rides back into town, and he quickly realizes Fallon wants nothing to do with him, but will he take no for an answer?

Will Wesley be able to win over Fallon, or will the memories of their past be too much for their future to handle?
“What can I get y’all boys?” I ask sweetly, still avoiding his eyes.
“We’ll take a round of SoCo for starters,” the chunky one states with a wink.
“Five SoCos, comin’ right up,” I say as I go to grab the shot glasses. Then I hear his raspy voice, and my body betrays me. Stop it! Don’t do that! Everything within my body comes alive with the sound of his voice.
“That’s four shots and a Coke,” Wesley states. I turn on my heels quickly.
“Coke? Are you sure?” I question, and he nods in agreement. “You want it in a shot glass, too?” I ask like the smart ass I’ve become over the years.
With a husky laugh, he answers, “Whatever you want to do, Pumpkin.” I stiffen at the name, but don’t turn around. I haven’t been called that since the day he rode away. After gathering myself together, I pour him a shot of Coke into a glass. He smiles when I place it in front of him.
“Come on, Pumpkin. Pour yourself one. I think me rollin’ back into town calls for a toast.” I roll my eyes, and then Paige hands me a shot glass of Coke. Raising my glass, I put one hand on my hip and wait for his toast. “Here’s to us, Pumpkin. Past, present, and future.” I clink my glass and when it touches my lips, I quickly realize it’s not Coke, but rather sweet cinnamon that burns the entire way down. I’m thankful to have Paige to count on when I need it most. Slamming down my shot glass when I finish, I turn and walk out of the bar and into the back room, holding myself together until I’m alone.
Dixie Rae is a small town girl living her dream as an author.  When she’s not writing, she indulges in guacamole, listening to Brantley Gilbert, and drinking a cold one.

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

Sharing a summer house with a hot-as-hell roommate should be a dream come true, right?

Not when it’s Justin…the only person I’d ever loved…who now hates me.

When my grandmother died and left me half of the house on Aquidneck Island, there was a catch: the other half would go to the boy she helped raise.

The same boy who turned into the teenager whose heart I broke years ago.

The same teenager who’s now a man with a hard body and a hardass personality to match.

I hadn’t seen him in years, and now we’re living together because neither one of us is willing to give up the house.

The worst part? He didn’t come alone.

I’d soon realize there’s a thin line between love and hate. I could see through that smug smile. Beneath it all…the boy is still there. So is our connection.

The problem is…now that I can’t have Justin, I’ve never wanted him more.

Author's note – RoomHate is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

His eyes darted to the side, and he noticed me standing there. We just stared at each other. It was ironic, but the only times I could ever feel the remnants of our old connection were in fleeting moments of silent eye contact. Sometimes moments of silence spoke the loudest.
I left him alone again, making my way back down the hall and into the restaurant to tend to the customers I’d been ignoring.
Things really started to get busy. Without Jade working tonight, we were short-staffed, and I was having a hard time keeping up with the orders. Sandy’s had indoor and outdoor seating. Normally, I would only be working one section, but tonight I was going back and forth between the two.
It was nice out, so I knew they would have Justin performing outside. I kept glancing over to the small stage to see if he was there. It was past eight, and he hadn’t made an appearance yet.
Sometime close to eight-thirty, I was in the middle of serving a large party of ten when I first heard it: the chilling sound of a soulful voice that was not familiar in the least. He gave no introduction. No warning. He just started to sing out the first few words, followed by the strum of his guitar. The song that Justin had chosen to start with was a cover of Ain’t No Sunshine by Bill Withers.
The entire room soon quieted down, and all eyes were on the stunning blond male specimen with the spotlight shining down on him. Despite the fact that I was carrying a large round tray of dirty dishes, I couldn’t move. The vibration of his thick, smoky singing voice had completely paralyzed me, penetrating my body and soul.
Aside from the lone teardrop that fell the night he lost it on me during steak dinner, I hadn’t shed any more tears—until now. It was all too much. Hearing how different his voice sounded, how he’d trained it over the years, was a wake-up call as to how much I had missed. All of the hours of practice that must have gone into honing that beautiful voice, and I wasn’t there for any of it. The guilt, the emotions, the reality of a decade gone…everything started to pummel me at once. Not to mention the song—about a girl leaving. It probably had nothing to do with me, but in my mind, it sure as hell felt like it did.

Fake it till you make it.
That’s Lexi Hall, the wild socialite’s motto for how to live life.
Single and allergic to commitment, Lexi is having the time of her life.  Or is she? With a new promotion at the art gallery, and her colorful lifestyle as bright as ever, she swears she has no interest in slowing down. When Lexi receives a phone call that can change her career, she pounces on the opportunity. But what this outgoing diva doesn’t plan for is her new client, the closed off, secluded artist, Hunter James. Fighting to draw the line between work and pleasure, it’s up to Lexi to figure out how to balance her fake life for something real.
Hunter James is an artist without a muse. Lacking the beauty in his life that he craves, his art is beginning to suffer.  Unfortunately for the mysterious artist, a past mistake also tarnishes his trust in women. Forced to take a meeting with an art gallery dealer, he accepts knowing he’ll turn her down. He turns them all down.  But what he doesn’t anticipate is for the seductive bombshell to turn his world upside down.  As his body and mind come alive, he vows to stop at nothing to have her on his canvas and in his bed.
As Lexi’s life begins to brighten with the promise of something beautiful, can she stop faking it and find a reason to make it real? Or will Hunter’s past replace their light with darkness?
We haven’t been up in the friendly skies for more than a few minutes before Hunter begins to unclip his seat belt. “I need you to come to the bathroom with me?”
“Why? They don’t like too many people standing in the aisle, you know.”
“You won’t be standing in the aisle. Let’s go.” I’m looking at him strangely. Until it sinks in. “Why exactly do you want me to go with you?”
“Because I can’t stand it any longer,” he whisper-growls. “I need to take you into the bathroom and make them think I am fucking you senseless so these vultures know you’re with me. Get up, let’s go.” He snaps his belt off and attempts to stand.
I pull his shoulder down so he falls back into his seat. “Hunter, we can’t both go into the bathroom and do any of that. It’s illegal.” And I also refuse to admit why I know that.
“It’s not. I’m sure people still do it all the time. Up you go.” His pupils are beginning to dilate and I know he is serious.  The poor man has been festering about the non-competition on each side of us since we took off.
“Hunter.” Turning my body toward him, I take my hands and cup his face. I raise my voice so my words are dramatized and so that the two meat cakes on each side of us can hear. “I know you are aching to do so many dirty things to me, but my sores aren’t gone yet. The doctor said we should wait. We don’t want you to get them again, do we?” I tease. I watch the meat cake next to Hunter, scrunch his face and turn away from us. I turn to the aisle and flag down the flight attendant. “Yes, excuse me, do you think I can get some ice? I have some... ya know, blisters... down below, and the ice helps.” I smile while catching the cringing face of my other ex-fan. Mission complete. I offer my attention back to the only person on this plane who I care about. Hunter is stock-still, except for his eyes, which are now as big as saucers. “You realize you just announced to most of the plane that you have genital herpes, right?”
“Yep. And now no one will give me the time of day. I’m all yours.” I wink. Hunter’s expression has dissolved into one of humor, although he is shaking his head at me.
“You amaze me more and more every single second, Lex. And I do believe that if you’re not careful, we will end up searching out those chapels.”
I try to hide the surge of emotions that shoot through my heart.
I bring his mouth to mine and with my lips and my tongue, I offer him the best French kiss ever, convincing him just how little anyone else on this plane matters. And just how much he does.
It takes the flight attendant telling us we’re about to land for us to break away. I don’t lose eye contact with Hunter and I can tell he is appreciative of what I did. He feels like the man in charge. Even if his prize was herpes.

Mary Catherine Gebhard - Elastic Heart - Cover Reveal

Title: Elastic Heart
Author: Mary Catherine Gebhard
Release Date: Feb 25, 2016
Find on Goodreads
What do you do when the man who raped you has the entire police force in his pocket? When you’re called a slut, a whore, and a liar? You get your own justice.
My name is Nami DeGrace, and six months ago I was a normal college student. I was volunteering on the campaign of a man I believed in, a man I thought to be good and noble. Then one night that man forced himself on me and everything changed.
The media reviled me. The police didn’t believe me. My friends abandoned me. I dropped out of college and only have one mission in life: make him pay. That is, until Nick Law came in to my life.
Indomitable, infuriating, and irresistible, Law is complicating things.
Amazing was an understatement. It was like pure animalism. For a moment I thought he reignited the fire in me. I thought he turned the ash to kindling, but then Law pulled back. Before he could reject me, I turned away.
“See?” I said, trying to pull out of his grasp. He didn’t want me. No one would ever want me again. I snapped my arm free and ran past him toward the exit.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Law growled, pushing me against the door.
“What are you doing?” I gasped as Law spun me around.
“Kissing you back.” Before I could respond, Law’s mouth was on mine. He tasted even better than he smelled, if that was possible. I expected rough and harsh, but he was sweet. His tongue lightly grazed the seam of my lips, causing me to lean toward him. He nipped at my bottom lip, sucking it into his mouth. I groaned.
It had been so long since someone had sucked my bottom lip…since someone cared about me. I threw my arms around his neck just as Law said, “I don’t think we should do this.”
It felt like ice had been dumped into my stomach. I tried to pull my arms back so I could wrap them around myself, but Law held them to his neck. I averted my gaze.
Slut. Whore. Liar. The words popped into my head unbidden.
“Nami, look at me,” Law growled. “Nami this has nothing to do with you.” I refused to look at him, keeping my eyes firmly on the floor, until he said, “I’m afraid.”
I scoffed. “What are you afraid of?”
“Hurting you.” My eyes darted to his briefly. Was he serious?
“I can handle it.” If this was how Law planned to hurt me, then it was much better than what I’d imagined. I nipped at his lower lip, trying to show him that I really could take it. Law groaned into my mouth, his palm grasping the back of my skull. I pulled back, saying, “Plus, maybe I want to be hurt. Maybe I don’t want a nice guy. Maybe I don’t want sweet.” Maybe I didn’t deserve any of that.
Law shook his head, eyes wary. “I’m a nice guy, Nami. Who said I couldn’t be sweet? I’m a perfectly sweet guy. I can worship you like you deserve. Still…” Law trailed off, burden heavy in his gaze.
“Just kiss me, Law, make me forget.” Law’s face changed at my request. It was subtle, but I caught it. Like I said, I caught everything now. Placing both hands on either side of my face, Law pulled me to him. His lips crushed against mine.
His tongue waged a war to conquer mine. His breath was hot against my lips and his stubble lightly scratched against my chin. For that brief moment, everything was perfect.
